Goregaon, Mumbai – For the first time, the residents of Vastu Heights Complex, in collaboration with their neighboring Swarajya Heights, are celebrating the auspicious Ganpati festival. This marks a significant moment for the community, which consists of eight societies – four from Vastu Heights and four from Swarajya Heights.
The festival holds special importance for the residents, as last year, in 2023, 1,062 members won their dream homes in the MHADA Mumbai lottery, making this their first major celebration together in their new homes. The enthusiasm and joy in the community are palpable as families come together to celebrate Lord Ganesha with devotion.
Mr. Chandan Thakur, Chief Promoter of Vastu Heights A wing, expressed his thoughts on the event: “Aise function aur celebration jaruri hai (such functions and celebrations are essential). It’s good for unity, and we will work to make our society better and famous in Goregaon.”
In just a year, the Vastu Heights Complex has shown a strong commitment to community bonding and festivities. Earlier this year, the residents celebrated Republic Day on 26th January, Holi, and Independence Day on 15th August. The Ganpati festival adds to this growing list of celebrations, signifying their unity and cultural pride.
This year, the Ganpati celebration will last for one and a half days, but the residents have ambitious plans for the future. Starting next year, they plan to extend the festival to a seven-day celebration, enhancing the scope of festivities and participation.
The first Ganpati Festival at Vastu Heights Complex is a testament to the strength of community spirit and a hopeful indicator of many more vibrant celebrations to come.
