Pizza Hut is set to launch a range of 10 new pizzas in India, each designed to match consumers’ changing moods. The popular pizza chain has enlisted the help of megastars Saif Ali Khan and Shehnaaz Gill to promote the new range through a quirky “Mood Badle, Pizza Badle” campaign, which highlights how our food cravings change with our moods. The new pizzas will be available across dine-in, delivery, and takeaway at all of Pizza Hut’s 800 Indian restaurants, starting at a great value price of Rs. 299 for two personal pizzas.
In two separate TV commercials, Saif and Shehnaaz showcase their unique styles as they sit in a Pizza Hut restaurant. In the first ad, Saif shares his different moods with the server who suggests the perfect pizza, such as Nawabi Murg Makhni when he feels like a king and Awesome American Cheesy when he is feeling low. The second commercial shows different moods of Shehnaaz Gill, with the server recommending the best pizzas to satisfy her cravings, such as Mazedar Makhni Paneer pizza for a romantic mood and Cheezy Mushroom Magic for when she’s not feeling her best.
According to Aanandita Datta, chief marketing officer of Pizza Hut India, “Our mood plays an important role in deciding our food cravings and we wanted to give consumers different options for their varied moods. This was our inspiration behind launching an extensive range of 10 new pizzas with so many added flavourful ingredients, for the first time. We now have something for everyone to indulge in every day, from the familiar and comforting to the bold and exciting flavours.”
The new pizza range includes 10 unique flavours, such as Mazedar Makhni Paneer, Dhabe Da Keema, Cheezy Mushroom Magic, Mexican Fiesta, Awesome American Cheesy, and Nawabi Murg Makhni. The pizzas have been made even more indulgent and craveable with specially crafted sauces, including Mint Mayo and Texas Garlic, which are liberally drizzled on top. Pizza Hut has introduced a Makhni sauce to appeal to Indian palates.
Pizza Hut’s “Mood Badle, Pizza Badle” campaign has been conceptualised and shot by Creativeland Asia Pvt. Ltd. The TV commercials will be promoted in seven major languages – Hinglish, Bengali, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, and Tamil. In addition to the commercials, Pizza Hut will roll out a 360-degree marketing campaign across television, digital social media platforms, PR and influencer outreach, OOH, and in-store branding to connect with consumers at every touchpoint.
