AMFI Association of Mutual Funds in India has signed Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni for their 'Mutual Funds Sahi Hai campaign

Cricket legends Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni have come together to create awareness about mutual funds with the latest ‘Mutual Fund Sahi Hai’ campaign.

Professional Management Group (PMG) first struck a deal with the Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI) in 2020.

Launched by AMFI, under the guidance of SEBI, as part of its investor awareness outreach program, the ‘Mutual Funds Sahi Hai’ campaign aims to educate the general public about mutual funds and dispel myths surrounding them. The AMFI is an association of all the asset management companies of SEBI-registered mutual funds.

The latest ‘Mutual Fund Sahi Hai’ campaign, featuring the two cricket icons, encourages people to start investing in mutual funds through the monthly SIP route, for their long-term financial goals, like children’s future and retirement.

I thank SEBI for taking a considerate view on allowing the engagement of celebrities, at the Industry level,” said NS Venkatesh, CEO, of Amfi.

Discipline and a longer-term approach are the cornerstones towards achieving success, be it in any sport and likewise in personal investing, said Tendulkar. Having a goal-based approach, starting early, staying disciplined, and not being fazed by volatility, are the four mantras, I have always followed, be it in my cricketing career or personal investing, said Tendulkar.

Sachin Tendulkar and Dhoni evoke unstinted trust and high dependability, and their longer-term orientation in their respective cricketing careers, has been akin to retail investors having equally longer-term approach towards investment,” said Nilesh Shah, Chairman, Amfi.

Amfi has been running the ‘Mutual Funds Sahi Hai’ campaign for the last three years, and it is only now that they decided to engage the cricketing icons to take the conversation with retail investors across the country to the next level.

“Having a goal-based approach, starting early, staying disciplined, and not being fazed by volatility, are the four mantras, I have always followed, be it in my cricketing career or personal money management,” added Dhoni.
