Bollywood actress Triptii Dimri, who rose to fame with Bulbbul and Qala, recently shared the emotional toll she faced after her role in Animal. While the film garnered attention, Triptii found herself dealing with harsh criticism, a first in her career. In a candid interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, she revealed that the backlash left her deeply shaken, despite receiving praise for her performance.
Triptii Dimri on Handling Criticism
In her interview, Triptii spoke about how her career had been free of major criticism before Animal. “Pre-Animal, there was no criticism,” she explained. “After the film, I received a lot of negative comments, which I wasn’t prepared for. It was overwhelming because, during Bulbbul and Qala, all I saw were positive remarks. Suddenly, I was dealing with a wave of negativity, and I didn’t know how to process it.”
The actress admitted that the intensity of the backlash took a toll on her mental health. “For at least two to three days, I cried a lot. I wasn’t used to such harsh comments, and it all happened so fast.”
Triptii also shared how she leaned on her sister for support. “My sister told me to own it, reminding me of my achievements,” she said, adding that she often retreats into her shell during difficult times. “I’m sensitive, and I found it really hard to handle the criticism. There was so much going on, and I didn’t have time to sit and process everything.”
Moving Forward in Her Career
Despite the emotional turmoil, Triptii Dimri remains optimistic about her career. After Animal, she starred in Bad Newz alongside Vicky Kaushal and is set to appear in Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video, which releases on October 11. She will also be seen in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Dhadak 2, further solidifying her place in the industry.
As Triptii continues to navigate the ups and downs of stardom, her story highlights the challenges faced by actors in the digital age, where the spotlight can often bring both applause and criticism in equal measure.
