Meta says it is aware that some Instagram users are having trouble accessing accounts. Meta’s instant messaging platform, WhatsApp, faced a major outage in India and other countries last week.
An Instagram outage started on Monday morning locking many users out and telling many of them that we suspended their accounts on October 31, 2022. Several Instagram users are reporting a strange glitch. According to posts on Twitter, It also appears that affected users are unable to retrieve their account despite clicking on the ‘Disagree with decision’ option. Outage tracker, Downdector, shows that several Instagram users in India and other countries are facing login issues, while others are facing “server connection”-related problems.
Meta has acknowledged that it is a server-side problem, and the company is looking into the matter. Via a post on Twitter, the company said, “We’re aware that some of you are having issues accessing your Instagram account. We’re looking into it and apologize for the inconvenience.
As per the data collated by the outage-tracking website, in India, there were over 900 users who reported issues while accessing the social media platform. Many even took to the micro-blogging platform, Twitter to report the inaccessibility of Instagram and Facebook.
On the previous outages, a Meta spokesperson said that the brief outage was a result of a technical error on our part and has now been resolved. The company had even acknowledged the problem saying that it was aware that some people were having trouble sending messages. Even for Instagram, Meta announced that “configuration Change ” was the reason behind the global Instagram outage.
At the time of writing this report, there’s no word from Meta or Instagram on what is causing the crashing and suspension of accounts. it seems to be a technical problem, rather than a mess banning accounts.
