Recently, Bollywood actress Ananya Panday shared her school memories and confessed that she was terrified of Sara Ali Khan. She was three years senior to her. The two, now among Bollywood’s most promising young stars, have come a long way from their school days to being close friends.
In an interview, she candidly shared how often she used to hide from Sara Ali Khan due to the latter’s outspoken nature. “Sara was the myth of the school. She was bold, moohfat (outspoken), and I was genuinely scared of her. If she walked down one staircase, I would take the other one,” Ananya confessed during the interview, shedding some light on their humorous, yet tense, relationship as schoolgirls.
Ananya even remembered how Sara never even bothered to know her name when she would call her ‘ae girl’. “She never cared to know my name, and it was such a joke because I’d carry her umbrella while on school plays, and still, she would only be saying ‘ae girl’ Now, whenever I point this out to her, she just laughs it away, saying she has done good by me, and it was a different day back then,” said Ananya.
Although the two actresses remain apprehensive about each other even today, Ananya and Sara have turned out to be good friends. The acting chemistry between the two actors has undergone a transformation since then and they are seen accompanying each other in their profession. Recently, Ananya was seen in the Netflix release CTRL. Sara is reportedly getting ready to be part of Metro In Dino, which will be directed by Anurag Basu.
